Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies is seeking an Intermediate Penetration Tester to support a government customer onsite in Denver, Colorado. An active Top Secret/SCI with CI poly is required for consideration, with OSCP certification highly recommended.

The role involves performing reconnaissance and vulnerability scanning, leading tests, mentoring junior testers, and delivering actionable findings to stakeholders. Strong scripting, network, and security expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3 years of Pen Tester experience.
• Alternative: Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant work experience, or Master’s with 2 years.
• Experience in cyber security with a focus on red teaming, penetration testing, or threat hunting.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic reconnaissance and vulnerability scanning in line with testing methodologies.
• Identify common vulnerabilities, document and report findings.
• Possess basic scripting abilities and understanding of network fundamentals and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Conduct more complex penetration tests, exploring misconfigurations and exploitation techniques.
• Lead penetration tests, mentoring junior testers, and providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Possess expertise in network protocols, application security, social engineering, and advanced scripting.
