Job summary

AIP Publishing seeks a Senior Peer Review Specialist to enhance peer review and editorial workflows across its journal portfolio. You’ll work with internal teams and external providers to implement improvements and support editorial tool adoption.

Reporting to the Manager, Peer Review Excellence, you’ll analyze workflow performance, maintain dashboards, and drive data-driven improvements while ensuring quality and integrity across publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 4+ years of experience in scholarly publishing, editorial operations and peer review.
• Experience supporting workflow improvement or operational change initiatives.
• Experience working with manuscript tracking systems or editorial platforms.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and improve peer review workflows across the journal portfolio.
• Develop and maintain standardized peer review workflows.
• Document workflows, procedures, and standards.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Support process redesign and adoption of new editorial tools.
• Provide operational dashboards and reporting for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on workflow improvements.
• Coordinate information gathering across teams.
