Job summary

AIP Publishing is a nonprofit science publisher accelerating discovery by improving how research is shared across journals. The Senior Peer Review Specialist will drive workflow improvements, document standards, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure high editorial quality.

You’ll analyze performance metrics, support editorial tools, and help implement new systems while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years in scholarly publishing, editorial operations and peer review.
• Experience supporting workflow improvement or operational change initiatives.
• Experience working with manuscript tracking systems or editorial platforms.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and improve peer review workflows across the journal portfolio.
• Maintain standardized peer review workflows and procedures.
• Document workflows, procedures, and operational standards.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify bottlenecks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on workflow updates and improvements.
