Job summary

Spring Branch Community Health Center seeks a Pediatrician to deliver comprehensive outpatient care for patients from birth to 21 years. You will review histories, perform exams, educate families, diagnose and treat, and work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Your role includes supervising mid-level providers and students, developing protocols, and contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives at the health center.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas.
• Certified BLS or BLS equivalent.
• One year of experience in a health center or similar setting.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides outpatient medical care in the clinic.
• Maintains medical expertise and competency to deliver quality primary medical care.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients for appropriate specialty care services.
• Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other treatments.
• Collaborates with the medical team to assess patient needs and ensure continuity of care.
• Supervises mid-level providers and students and contributes to protocols and quality processes.
