Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital seeks a Sleep Center Technologist to perform night-time sleep studies and document results per policy. You will conduct tests in Neurophysiology labs and inpatient units, ensuring patient safety and education while maintaining high-quality care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS and RPSGT, and 2 years of pediatric polysomnography experience. STAR/BRPT pathway is preferred. Opportunity to grow in a leading children’s hospital in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills as stated in the job description.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Sleep Technologist.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited polysomnography program or STAR BRPT pathway.
  • BLS, RPSGT certifications required; BRPT preferred.
  • Pediatric polysomnography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Master neurodiagnostic sleep studies for quality results.
  • Conduct sleep studies in inpatient and unit settings according to standards.
  • Interpret waveforms, medical terms, and anatomy.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education.
  • Score sleep studies and clinical events professionally.
  • Maintain equipment readiness and report issues promptly.
