Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Sr. Echocardiography Technologist for our Cardiology Echo Lab in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on complex pediatric and congenital cases, with responsibilities spanning routine and fetal echocardiography, data entry, and study analysis.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, an approved echocardiography program, and 3 years of cardiology experience; 1 year in pediatric echo is preferred, with ARDMS/CCI registry eligibility and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an approved Echocardiography program.
• Minimum 3 years of cardiology experience; 1 year pediatric echo in a lab under pediatric cardiologist is preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI registry eligibility/registration required; BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on complex congenital heart disease patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Independently perform fetal echocardiography when needed and ensure timely studies.
• Assist with research projects and support clinicians with protocol-driven imaging.
