Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer II to perform and acquire pediatric echocardiography studies. You will work under echocardiography leadership to obtain high-quality images across diverse ages and presentations.

The role requires knowledge of congenital cardiac abnormalities, dedication to patient care, and participation in training learners and quality improvement efforts. On-call coverage and outreach may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of congenital cardiac sonography experience.
• Licenses/certifications: ARDMS, RDCS or RCS (CCI).

Responsibilities

• Review indications for the exam and pertinent medical data for echocardiograms.
• Perform independent acquisition of normal to complex congenital transthoracic echocardiography studies.
• Maintain infection prevention and patient safety, explain procedures to patients.
• Document observations and quantify data; review studies with physician for interpretation.
• Ensure studies are archived and equipment is maintained for immediate use.
