Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures under supervision, gather data for interpretation, and ensure equipment is ready for use. Qualified candidates hold a CCI or ARDMS cardiac sonography certification. Knowledge of PACS and image processing is required; experience is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure/certification in cardiac sonography.
• Education requirement met by license/certification.

Responsibilities

• Document observations during procedures and prepare data for physician interpretation.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and produce diagnostic images.
• Maintain equipment and report issues to supervisor/lead tech.
• Explain examination process to patients and assist during procedures.
• Review patient history and reload prior exams for comparison.
• Utilize PACS and ancillary systems for imaging storage and retrieval.
