St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Research Scientist within the Neurobiology and Brain Tumor Program (NBTP).

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics or related field; strong translational publications in cancer genomics or single-cell/spatial omics.
• Experience with RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq/CUT&RUN, Hi-C, DNA methylation, single-cell/nucleus RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and quantitative proteomics.
• Proficiency in programming in R and Python; HPC environment exposure; building pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform statistical analysis and algorithm implementation across biotechnology platforms.
• Design training materials for bioinformatics software, databases, and data mining.
• Act as liaison between end-users, software developers, and departments; establish SOPs and best practices.
• Lead development, installation, and maintenance of databases; coordinate data collection and hardware/software needs.
• Develop programs to assist in data analysis within databases; delegate tasks across departments.
• Maintain regular attendance and contribute to department objectives.
