Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Lead Paraprofessional Technician to support ABA-based therapy for hospitalized children and adolescents at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Somerset, NJ. You will implement behavior plans under BCBA/licensed psychologist guidance, collect data, and contribute to intake, assessment, and discharge processes.

Candidate should have a HS diploma, BLS certification, and experience with developmental disabilities; under supervision, you’ll work in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Preference given to those enrolled in child development, psychology or related behavioral health field.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Experience with pediatric developmental disabilities or feeding disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA services under supervision to pediatric patients.
• Assist with behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition programs.
• Record data, maintain treatment notes, and prepare progress reports.
• Train caregivers and staff to support treatment at home or school.
• Collaborate with clinical team on intake, assessment and discharge planning.
• Maintain safe, clean treatment spaces and follow safety protocols.
