Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead the design and optimization of PEARL process blocks, including Direct Lithium Extraction, eluate conditioning, crystallization and refining. You will own technical aspects and translate IP into scalable, licensable designs while collaborating with the licensing group and engineering leads.

This role can be remote or on-site at our US branches (Canonsburg, PA; Hartland, WI; Houston, TX).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, process, or water-treatment engineering.
Experience in industrial water treatment and lithium processing.
Strong process-modeling and mass-balance capabilities.
Ability to translate laboratory data and vendor information into scalable process designs.

Responsibilities

Develop integrated PEARL process designs and customer-specific flowsheets covering DLE, eluate conditioning, crystallization and product recovery.
Own eluate conditioning, including impurity management, chemical adjustment, concentration, water balance.
Develop mastery of DLE, conditioning, crystallization process design and provide coverage across PEARL blocks.
Build and maintain standardized process modules, mass/energy balances, design assumptions and performance models for licensing packages.
Collaborate with Applied Development to integrate IP and validated results into PEARL design standards.
Evaluate third-party technologies to improve process performance and product quality; justify improvements with trade-off studies.
