Job summary
McCall-Thomas Engineering is seeking a Senior Relay Engineer, PE, to lead relay protection and substation design efforts in a hybrid role based in South Carolina. The position requires working locally 20 hours per week in the Orangeburg or Moncks Corner offices, with remaining time available for remote work.

Qualifications
- 15+ years' relay experience with electric utility or engineering firm
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- PE license within 90 days
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate new technologies for substations
- Develop designs for transmission and distribution substations
- Develop substation ground grid designs
- Provide power system and protection engineering services
- Assist field personnel with installation of materials
- Support testing, commissioning of substation equipment
- Design and implement protective relay schemes
- Coordinate with clients and engineers to ensure compliance with specs
