Job summary

Amazon seeks a hardware engineering leader to advance server hardware and software engineering, focusing on PCIe and signal integrity. You will own the design and validation of high-speed PCBs for servers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable components.

The role emphasizes architecture, rigorous testing, and engagement with a diverse engineering group to push the limits of performance and reliability in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience performing signal integrity analysis and optimizing high-speed PCB designs for signal integrity.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex electrical products at volume.
• Experience in high-speed interface design (DDR, PCIe, USB, etc.) with emphasis on signal integrity.
• Experience with PCB design tools (Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent) and demonstrated ability to perform detailed PCB reviews.
• Experience with signal integrity simulation tools (Ansys, Cadence Sigrity, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own the signal integrity of next-generation server components and systems.
• Work on architecture and development of high-speed PCB designs for server components including PCIe, motherboards, graphics, accelerators, and programmable hardware.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineers to design, validate, and launch a scale.
• Contribute to optimizing high-speed interfaces and ensuring robust system performance.
