Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Sr. PCBA Manufacturing Test Engineer to deploy, qualify, and continuously improve test systems, processes, and procedures at contract manufacturer sites for satellite PCBAs.

You will be the primary interface between internal test development teams and our manufacturing partners, documenting procedures and training CM personnel. You will have excellent debugging skills to identify root causes of test failures, develop runbooks, and support ongoing onsite activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years deploying, using, and training others on complex test systems including RF tests, high power tests, ICT fixtures, and Flying Probe tests.
• 8+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems.
• 8+ years’ experience with standard lab test equipment to debug PCBAs.
• Ability to write detailed test station operating procedures.
• Ability to create deployment/capacity plans for multiple testers at multiple CMs.
• Experience with Linux scripting or other coding languages (e.g., Python, Java, Visual Basic).

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies and optimize test setup at CM sites.
• Perform PCBA debug and root-cause failure analysis at CM sites; create runbooks and train technicians.
• Collaborate with R&D and Test Development to improve test systems, fixtures, and procedures.
• Analyze data to identify failure trends and recommend improvements.
• Develop procedures and documentation for test operators; train operators.
• Lead small teams to achieve short-term objectives; travel up to 50%.
