Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in New Haven, CT is seeking a Profit Center Manager-Printed Circuit Board Assembly. You will lead PCBA tooling, process development, and quality improvements, driving DOEs, PFMEA, and NPI efforts to ensure robust manufacturing.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, 5+ years SMT/PCBA experience, and lean manufacturing expertise, with strong SMT equipment knowledge and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SMT or PCBA development experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong SMT process development background with technical leadership.
• Proven ability to improve yield, quality, cycle time, and inventory accuracy.
• Proficient in SMT equipment programming and troubleshooting (placement, SPI, AOI, reflow).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tooling, processes, documentation, and instructions for PCBAs.
• Conduct DOEs, PFMEA, and other methodologies to improve processes and quality.
• Configure BOMs and routings for PCBA in line with product structures and standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of stencil design, solder paste, stencil printing, pick and place, and reflow.
• Determine root causes of PCBA defects and implement necessary changes.
• Review assembly operations for accuracy and optimization of manufacturing processes.
• Lead New Product Introduction activities for electronic assemblies.
• Order equipment, tools, and instruments for new processes.
