Job summary

Sargent Manufacturing, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, seeks a Profit Center Manager for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) in New Haven, CT. You will lead SMT process development, DOEs, PFMEAs, and implement tooling, documentation and routings to drive quality and yields.

As a senior manufacturing leader, you will manage multiple projects, oversee BOM configurations, lead NPI activities, and partner with the General Manager to optimize production costs and delivery times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years SMT/PCBA development experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong SMT process development expertise and technical leadership.
• Proven improvements in yield, quality, cycle time and delivery.
• SMT equipment programming and troubleshooting (placement, SPI, AOI, reflow).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tooling, processes, documentation, and instructions for PCBAs.
• Conduct DOE, PFMEA, and other methods to improve processes and quality.
• Configure BOMs and routings for PCBA per product structures and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of stencil design, solder paste, stencil printing, pick and place, and reflow.
• Identify root causes of PCBA defects and implement changes.
• Review assembly operations for accuracy and optimization of manufacturing methods.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for electronic assemblies.
• Order equipment, tools, and instruments for new processes.
