Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Principal PCB Manufacturing Engineer to lead PCB fabrication initiatives across Leo's satellite constellation program. You will drive DFM assessments, coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, and influence decisions affecting supply chain resilience.

The role requires 10+ years in PCB supply chain or fabrication, and a strong track record of leading cross-functional programs and DFMEA analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCB fabrication processes and equipment.
• Experience leading DfX reviews for manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability.

We're seeking an experienced Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead and drive strategic initiatives for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication across Leo's satellite constellation program. You will be instrumental in building and scaling our supply chain to support the production of thousands of satellites.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and drive PCB fabrication initiatives from concept to mass production
• Conduct comprehensive DFM assessments and provide technical recommendations for design improvements
• Drive technical alignment between design teams, manufacturing partners, and quality engineering to optimize PCBA fabrication
• Partner with systems engineering and hardware teams to influence PCB design decisions that impact supply chain resilience
• Lead cross-functional programs to qualify new PCB technologies and fabrication processes
• Drive PCB fabrication strategy alignment with business objectives

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/ Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Industrial/ Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in PCB supply chain, fabrication, or engineering.
• Experience in PCB fabrication processes and equipment
• Experience leading DfX reviews for manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience performing Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.
• Ability to lead small teams in root-causing technical product manufacturability and process problems and drive implementation of solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Engineering (Manufacturing/ Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Industrial/ Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with IPC-A-610H Class 3, IPC J-STD-001H compliance
• Knowledge of quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action, advanced product quality planning (APQP), metrology, process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem-solving approaches.
• Experience providing hands-on experimental design and execution (Statistical analysis and DOE).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
