Job summary

ADTRAN, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Technician in Huntsville, AL to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PCBAs at the component level within a manufacturing environment.

You will use schematics, test equipment, and documented procedures to restore products to quality standards and support on-time production flow. The role requires five years of component-level troubleshooting experience, an associate degree in electronics, and the ability to work with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Applied Electronics or equivalent military training/experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience performing component-level troubleshooting and debugging of digital electronic circuits.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience using computer-based test equipment and bench-top equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, frequency generators and power supplies.
• Experience removing and replacing PTH and SMT components; IPC training or soldering experience preferred; SAP ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PCB assemblies to the component level.
• Analyze failure data and diagnostic results to isolate faults and determine corrective actions.
• Interpret schematics and technical documentation to perform repairs per ADTRAN procedures.
• Set up, operate, and verify functionality of electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain workmanship quality and adherence to standards; communicate deviations when necessary.
• Contribute to production flow by supporting multiple assignments and ensuring timely completion.
