Job summary

Vuzix Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to rework and modify high-density, small-pitch PCB designs. The role collaborates with a team of PCB design and firmware experts and supports ISO 9001:2015 quality objectives set by Top Management.

Responsibilities include PCB modification and repair, hand-assembly of higher-pitch components, lab supervision, and collaboration with manufacturing to repair fixtures and cable assemblies, while assisting in quality inspections.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Expert level with soldering and hot-air rework.
• Proficient with 0201 rework.
• Proficient with assembling 0.35mm-pitch components.

Responsibilities

• Modify/Repair PCBs: perform modifications and rework for the electrical engineering team.
• Assemble PCBs that are not sent for SMT.
• Supervise Electrical Lab: maintain the electrical engineering lab and calibration schedules.
• Support on-site manufacturing: repair fixtures or provide cable assemblies.
• Support quality control activities such as inspections.
