Job summary

J&T in Seymour, CT seeks a Quality Engineering Leader for PCB/PCBA, SME responsible for ensuring boards meet IPC and customer specs across the product lifecycle. You will guide failure analysis, DFx reviews, and drive supplier quality, MRB decisions, and CAPA investigations.

Lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors, develop test plans, perform 8D investigations, and partner with NPI/design to mitigate board-level risks from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of dedicated PCB fabrication or electronics QA leadership experience.
• Deep command of IPC bare-board and assembly specifications (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-6012).
• Experience leading RCCA/CAPA investigations and 8D problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Define, deploy, and maintain quality criteria and sampling plans for bare boards and materials based on IPC standards.
• Develop QA plans for SMT and PTH assembly lines and establish SOPs.
• Direct MRB dispositions and lead 8D, RCCA, and CAPA investigations.
• Supervise and upskill quality engineers and inspectors.
