Banner Engineering, a leader in industrial automation, is seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our Plymouth, MN headquarters in-office five days a week.

You will design and redesign PCBs, collaborate with engineers, create Gerber files, and mentor junior designers while advancing high-speed, multi-layer HDI layouts.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field.
• 5+ years of PCB design experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic and PCB Design software (VX.2.0+).
• Familiar with IPC specifications and terminology for PCB manufacturing.
• Experience with rigid, rigid-flex, and HDI multilayer designs.
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and redesigning PCBs from schematics and design requirements using Mentor Graphics Xpedition/Designer/Design Capture.
• Creating drawings, Gerber files, and other fabrication documentation.
• Collaborating with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers on design changes.
• Initiating engineering change orders and mentoring PCB Designers.
• Suggesting PCB design process improvements and authoring new procedures.
• Creating schematic symbols and component geometries using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
