Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer to own end-to-end layout for flight-ready hardware used in drone delivery projects. You will design dense multi-layer boards in Altium Designer, optimize for weight, power, and EMI, and drive DFM/DFT through fabrication and assembly.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, power, reliability, and manufacturing teams, own footprints, and contribute to a fast-growing hardware program with strict quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience with shipped multi‑layer boards.
• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer.
• Ability to own board layout end-to-end from placement to fabrication release.
• Strong command of signal integrity, power integrity, and controlled-impedance design.
• Experience with mixed-signal layout spanning power, RF, and high-speed digital domains.
• Working knowledge of DFM/DFA and IPC standards (IPC‑2221/2222, IPC‑A‑600/610).
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work independently as the sole layout owner.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end PCB layout in Altium Designer — floorplanning, placement, routing, and release to fabrication and assembly.
• Design dense, multi-layer boards combining power/motor-drive, RF/comms, and high-speed digital on a single board.
• Optimize layouts for weight, size, and thermal constraints while meeting signal and power integrity.
• Produce complete fabrication and assembly packages — stackups, drawings, Gerber/ODB++ outputs.
• Apply EMI/EMC-aware layout and grounding strategies to meet reliability and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain footprint libraries and layout standards for a growing hardware program.
• Collaborate with EE, mechanical, power, reliability, and manufacturing teams; support bring-up, debugging, and rework.
