Job summary

Actalent in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a PCB Layout Designer to design and redesign PCBs from schematics using Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Designer, and Design Capture. You will create fabrication and assembly documentation and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years of PCB design experience, proficiency with HDI multilayer and rigid-flex, and strong knowledge of IPC standards. This onsite position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field.
• 5+ years of PCB design software experience, preferably Mentor Xpedition.
• Proficiency in PCB layout and schematic capture with IPC knowledge.
• Experience with rigid, rigid-flex and HDI multilayer PCBs.
• Experience with PLM/ERP systems to manage design data.

Responsibilities

• Design and redesign PCBs from schematics to manufacturable layouts.
• Create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings and docs.
• Collaborate with Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
• Modify drawings to meet evolving requirements and process changes.
• Mentor one or more PCB Designers and share best practices.
• Apply high-speed design rules to ensure signal integrity.
