Job summary

Nottingham Spirk in Cleveland, OH, seeks an experienced Senior PCB Layout Designer to produce detailed PCB layouts and production documentation using CAD software such as Altium, PADS, and Xpedition. You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality boards for diverse products.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of high-speed, multi-layer board experience and is a U.S. Person for export control.

Qualifications

10+ years of PCB layout experience including high-speed, multi-layer boards.
Advanced proficiency in AD-related software (Altium, PADS, Xpedition)
Ability to work across military, medical, consumer and industrial product types
U.S. Person required for export control compliance

Responsibilities

Develops PCB layout solutions.
Leads PCB layout reviews including high-speed feedback and crosstalk analysis.
Collaborates with cross-functional product development teams.
Maintains PADS libraries.
Quotes PCB layout projects based on requirements and direction.
Keeps up to date on high-speed design techniques and manufacturing guidelines.
Selects and qualifies electronic components with engineering.
Creates documentation for PCBAs, including schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
Works with electrical and mechanical engineers.
Participates in meetings to ensure continuity and cohesion.
Mentors junior associates.
