Job summary

Rantec Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Printed Circuit Board SME to serve as the technical authority for bare PCB fabrication risk. The role focuses on manufacturability, supplier qualification, first article readiness, and defect prevention within aerospace and defense programs.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and external PCB suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and supplier processes are capable and controlled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Manufacturing/Materials/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of PCB fabrication, process engineering, CAM/DFM, supplier quality, or high-reliability electronics.
• Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication shops and understanding of CAM, stack-up, lamination, drilling, plating, solder mask, and final inspection.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal SME for bare PCB fabrication technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Provide guidance on stack-ups, lamination, copper weights, impedance, vias, finishes.
• Establish PCB fabrication drawings standards and supplier-facing requirements.
• Develop and maintain PCB DFX guidelines for NPD, redesign, obsolescence.
• Lead technical portions of supplier qualification, audits, and change control.
• Lead risk-based PCB supplier surveillance with QA to ensure process stability.
• Train internal teams on fabrication risks and acceptance criteria.
