Job summary

Rantec Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Printed Circuit Board SME to serve as the technical authority for PCB fabrication risk and supplier capability.

You will enforce manufacturability standards, coordinate with Engineering, Sourcing and QA, and guide first article readiness and change control to prevent defects entering production. The role requires 7+ years in PCB fabrication and a deep understanding of CAM/DFM, stack‑ups, and high‑reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Manufacturing/Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in PCB fabrication, CAM/DFM, supplier quality, or high‑reliability electronics.
• Hands-on PCB fabrication shop experience and knowledge of CAM/DFM.
• Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration across engineering, sourcing, QA, and suppliers.
• Experience with IPC class/quality criteria and supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal SME for bare PCB fabrication technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Provide guidance on stack-ups, laminates, copper weights, impedance, vias, and finishes.
• Develop and maintain PCB DFX guidelines and supplier qualification processes.
• Lead technical supplier qualification, surveillance, and audits with QA.
• Define inspection, acceptance, and change-control criteria for PCB commodities.
• Train teams on PCB fabrication risks, manufacturability, and supplier expectations.
