Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior PCB Designer for the Starship program in Hawthorne, CA. You will lead layout for complex, multi-layer PCBs and collaborate with hardware engineers on schematics and design reviews.

You will contribute to diverse design mixes from RF phased arrays to power converters, while driving manufacturability and testability. The role emphasizes fast-paced, autonomous startup-style execution at SpaceX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PCB layout experience.
• Experience with high-speed routing and impedance control.
• Familiarity with mixed analog/digital designs and RF layouts.

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stack-up and component placement for 20+ layer PCBs.
• Perform high-speed routing, differential pairs, and length matching.
• Conduct SI/PI simulations to mitigate crosstalk and EMI/EMC issues.
• Produce fabrication outputs (Gerber, IPC-2581, drill files).
• Collaborate with engineers for validation and prototype bring-up.
