Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a PCB Designer for Starshield to create layouts for in‑house boards, collaborating with Hardware Development Engineers on schematics and iterative designs. You’ll contribute to diverse designs from radio phased arrays to solar converters, while ensuring manufacturability and test readiness.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience, strong layout skills, and comfort with Mentor Xpedition or Altium; TS/SCI clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years PCB layout experience.
• Experience with high density, RF, and mixed analog/digital designs is preferred.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup, component placement, routing, and signal integrity for PCB designs.
• Create and maintain libraries; prepare fabrication documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and vendors to improve design rules.
• Utilize PCB design tools and mentor teammates in tool usage.
