Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Senior PCB Designer in Waltham, MA to translate electrical schematics into high-quality PCB designs for complex medical and laboratory instrumentation.

This role partners with Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to deliver manufacturable, compliant assemblies from concept through production. Requires extensive multilayer PCB experience and expertise in PCB layout standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Engineering Technology, PCB Design or related discipline required.
  • Eight+ years of professional PCB design experience.
  • Experience owning complex multilayer PCB designs from placement through production release.
  • Experience with controlled-impedance design and high-speed routing.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain PCB layouts, fabrication drawings and manufacturing data packages.
  • Develop multilayer rigid and rigid-flex board designs with stack-ups and impedance considerations.
  • Route high-speed differential signals with length matching and signal-return control.
  • Apply low-noise design techniques for analog, mixed-signal, power, and RF circuitry.
  • Collaborate with Engineers on schematics, power distribution, thermal, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Support prototype builds, bring-up, debugging, and design verification.
