Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer in Middletown, PA to lead high-speed PCB layout from concept through production release. You will define stack-ups, routing, and fabrication docs, ensuring SI/PI, EMI/EMC performance, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of professional PCB design experience, high-speed digital.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer for layout and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and DFM.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, Gerbers/ODB++, and BOMs.
• Solid understanding of impedance control, differential pairs, crosstalk, and return path.
• Ability to work with cross-functional/global teams and deliver on release.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, layout, and development of high-speed PCBs using Altium.

Our client is seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer with extensive experience designing and developing high-speed printed circuit boards. This role will be responsible for PCB design from concept through production release, with a strong focus on high-speed digital applications, signal integrity, manufacturability, and technical documentation.

The Senior PCB Design Engineer will work closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and supplier teams to develop next-generation electronic and connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with Altium Designer, PCB fabrication processes, and high-speed design principles.

Key Highlights:

• Lead the design, layout, and development of high-speed printed circuit boards using Altium Designer.
• Define PCB stack-ups, routing strategies, and layout requirements to support signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC performance.
• Translate electrical schematics into reliable and manufacturable PCB layouts.
• Develop and maintain fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, Gerber/ODB++ files, BOMs, and production documentation.
• Partner with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform PCB design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and internal engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot PCB design, fabrication, and production issues while implementing corrective actions with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement of PCB design methodologies, standards, tools, and engineering processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8-12 years of professional PCB design experience, preferably involving high-speed digital designs.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer for PCB layout, schematic capture, and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Experience creating PCB documentation packages, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, Gerbers, ODB++, and BOMs.
• Strong understanding of high-speed PCB design principles, including impedance control, differential pair routing, crosstalk, and return path integrity.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity analysis or simulation tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and global engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage designs through production release.
• Competitive base salary: $149,000-$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
