Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group in Santa Maria, CA is hiring a Payroll Supervisor to oversee weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payroll for a multi-location agricultural workforce. You will ensure accuracy, compliance with CA wage laws, and lead payroll staff across locations.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll processing experience, knowledge of ADP/UKG and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of payroll processing experience required, with supervisory exposure.
• Experience with agricultural, farming, seasonal workforce, and high-volume payroll.
• Strong knowledge of California wage/hour laws and payroll taxes.
• Proficiency with payroll software and Excel; CPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly payroll for a multi-location agricultural workforce.
• Audit payroll data, reconcile timekeeping and general ledger records; support month-end activities.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, ACA reporting, payroll taxes, audits, and government inquiries.
• Maintain payroll system accuracy, employee records, earnings codes, and dashboards.
• Lead and train payroll staff; act as escalation point for complex payroll concerns.
