Produce Careers is seeking a Payroll Supervisor for its Santa Maria location to oversee payroll for a diverse agricultural workforce, including seasonal and piece-rate employees, ensuring compliance with wage laws and company policies.

The role collaborates with HR, Operations, and Accounting to deliver accurate, timely payroll and to resolve discrepancies across multiple locations. A strong background in payroll systems and agricultural pay practices is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory payroll experience.
• Experience with agricultural, farming, ranching, or seasonal workforce payroll.
• Experience with high-volume payroll processing and complex wage structures.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll taxation.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly cycles for multi-location agricultural workforce.
• Review time records, piece-rate data, attendance, and payroll adjustments for accuracy.
• Ensure accurate calculations of wages, overtime, deductions, and garnishments.
• Audit payroll records and resolve discrepancies before transmission.
• Maintain payroll records and support documentation per policy and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
