Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business management.
  • 5–7+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Strong understanding of multijurisdictional payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll.
  • Demonstrated ability to audit and reconcile payroll data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Process regular and off cycle U.S. payroll, including collecting inputs, performing calculations, and ensuring timely, accurate payments.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies, federal and state regulations, and tax requirements, including timely tax payments and filings.
  • Serve as a backup to team members and support knowledge sharing across the payroll function.
  • Maintain and enhance process documentation; recommend improvements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and system optimization.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly and professionally to employee and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support payroll-related initiatives, reporting, and projects.
