Responsibilities: This is an onsite position.

  • Use strong analytical and reasoning skills to process weekly high-volume payroll for bargaining employees and bi-weekly payroll for non-bargaining employees.
  • Verification of all onboarding documents for office and field hires. Including reviewing documents for accuracy for W-4, Direct Deposit, I-9, etc.
  • Respond to questions and inquiries regarding payroll questions, discrepancies, or verifications of employment.
  • Assist with the preparation of any necessary reporting as it relates to payroll functions.
  • Performs general administrative functions to support the accounting team and respective processes, which includes backing up for answering phones.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a union/non-union environment
  • Preferred: experience and proficiency in Viewpoint construction accounting software

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Union Payroll Experience
  • Solid understanding of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to a variety of accounting audits, transactions, and problems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Word applications
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and high degree of accuracy in analyzing data
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with accounting team and other employees
