Current, a leading accounting platform, seeks a Payroll Manager to lead payroll and retirement‑plan execution for client businesses within CAS. This hands‑on supervisory role manages delivery, staff development, and external provider coordination, implementing tax and plan decisions.

You will act as the primary client contact, mapping payroll calendars, validating reports, and escalating changes as needed to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across states.

Competenze

• 4–6+ years in US tax or tax-side payroll for closely held businesses.
• Hands-on retirement-plan experience covering contributions, funding, testing, and filings.
• End-to-end payroll platform proficiency; knowledge of multi-state filings.
• Ability to explain payroll and plan implications to clients; strong communication.
• Supervisory experience coaching staff and managing payroll processing.

Mansioni

• Lead portfolio planning and delivery against payroll calendars and client service expectations.
• Verify payroll setup, changes, and reports per Tax-team instructions; distinguish taxes and plan funding.
• Oversee federal and multi-state payroll filings, registrations, notices, and reconciliations; coordinate with Tax.
• Coordinate actuarial valuations and approved funding for defined benefit and cash balance plans.
• Serve as the day-to-day client contact and conduct quarterly reviews; document changes.
