Job summary

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 8–10 years of experience.
• Experience with Dayforce and Costpoint payroll/timekeeping systems preferred.
• Supervisory experience in payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employee groups, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Oversee payroll reporting, year-end processing, W-2s, and other payroll reports.
• Conduct payroll audits and reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage payroll-related general ledger reconciliations and month/year-end close support.
• Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Research and resolve complex payroll issues and regulatory concerns.
• Coordinate payroll with benefits, compensation, retirement, and timekeeping functions.
• Supervise payroll team members and training.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality across systems and vendors.
