Job summary

Crescent seeks a Payroll Administrator to lead end-to-end payroll across multiple sites from its Ohio operations. You will ensure accurate, on-time payments while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

This role partners with People Operations, Finance, and leadership and helps drive payroll system improvements using UKG Pro/Dimensions and analytics tools. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in payroll/HRIS with strong Excel and Power BI skills, and professional certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in compensation, benefits, compliance, payroll, and HRIS management.
• Professional certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, FPC).
• Experience with budgeting, accruals, and fiscal reporting.
• Knowledge of multi-state labor laws and payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and bi-weekly cycles across Crescent sites.
• Audit payroll inputs/outputs for accuracy and tax withholdings.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Coordinate year-end payroll activities and regulatory filings.
• Maintain audit-ready payroll documentation and respond to audits.
• Serve as payroll SME and partner with People Operations, Finance, and leadership.
• Identify automation opportunities and document SOPs.
