Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll team, ensure on-time accurate processing, and maintain compliance with tribal, state, and federal regulations. The role collaborates with Human Resources and Finance to uphold data integrity and security.

The ideal candidate oversees payroll workflows, reconciles timekeeping with payroll, and drives process improvements while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience leading a payroll or finance team.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local, and Tribal payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and timekeeping systems, plus advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee daily payroll operations and staff.
• Process and review semi-monthly payroll and related reports.
• Validate accuracy of wage calculations, deductions, and benefits.
• Maintain payroll software and ensure system accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure payroll records and GL postings are complete and auditable.
• Lead process improvements for efficiency and accuracy in payroll.
