Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead all payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll, compliance with laws, and coordination with HR/Finance. This role manages payroll staff or vendors, drives efficiency, and maintains data integrity across a 2,000+ employee population.

The ideal candidate has multi-state payroll experience, CPP or similar certification preferred, and a track record of managing complex payroll systems such as UKG Pro, Workday, SAP, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Experience with payroll systems/HRIS (UKG Pro, SuccessFactors preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing (biweekly, monthly, off-cycle).
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments.
• Maintain payroll calendars, cut-off dates, approvals, and reconciliations.
• Lead data validation, respond to inquiries, and ensure data integrity for 2,000+ employees.
