Job summary

Maxby Hospitality, Inc. is hiring a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll for 21 locations across 8 states and all corporate employee payroll. You will supervise two Payroll Specialists and coordinate with HR on benefits, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.

You will act as a payroll SME, manage cross-entity tasks, and work with restaurant managers and corporate leadership to optimize systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll tax compliance and multi-entity payroll.
• Experience with NetSuite and Paycom is a plus.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the payroll team across multiple entities and locations.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, tax withholding and year-end activities.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment with HR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and GL reconciliations.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and maintain data accuracy across systems.
• Support external audits and process improvements to maximize efficiency.
