Job summary

Maxby Hospitality, Inc. is hiring a full-time Payroll Manager to oversee Biaggi’s and Ancho & Agave restaurants. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will supervise two Payroll Specialists and manage end-to-end payroll across multiple entities and states.

This role requires expertise in payroll tax compliance, experience with NetSuite and Paycom, and collaboration with HR and management to ensure accurate, timely payroll and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing payroll across multiple entities and states.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the payroll team across multiple entities and locations.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and tax withholding.
• Coordinate with HR on compliance with payroll regulations.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and year-end processing.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and maintain data confidentiality.
• Support month-end close and audits.
• Improve processes and automation where possible.
