The successful candidate will manage multi-state payroll, support audits, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced construction environment across the western United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Experience managing multi-state payroll operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Experience with payroll and ERP systems such as Sage, NetSuite, ADP, BambooHR, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Learn Eleven Western Builders' business operations, payroll processes, and company policies.
• Develop relationships with Accounting, HR, managers, and leadership teams.
• Gain an understanding of payroll systems, reporting requirements, and payroll schedules.
• Review current payroll procedures and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
• Learn employee benefit deductions, garnishment administration, onboarding, and termination payroll processes.
• Prepare, review, and remit payroll tax deposits, quarterly and annual filings, and related payments to agencies while maintaining compliance.
