Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and modernize US payroll operations for approximately 1,700 associates across multiple states and entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant pay while strengthening internal controls.

You will partner with Human Resources, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, IT and Internal Audit to optimize processes, advance payroll technology, and develop payroll talent in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll processing experience in a shared services environment.
• CPP designation is strongly preferred; equivalent payroll expertise considered.
• Strong Excel and payroll data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state, multi-entity environment for ~1,700 associates.
• Ensure payroll tax deposits, filings, and year-end processes are compliant.
• Develop and coach the payroll team, set service levels and process improvements.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, IT and Internal Audit.
