Job summary

Santa Fe College Employees is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll processing function, ensuring timely and accurate compensation, tax reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and college regulations.

The role oversees daily payroll operations, deductions, benefits administration, and audits, maintaining internal controls to support accurate reporting and timely W-2 processing. Collaboration with auditors and vendors is expected to uphold data integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of daily payroll operations, including payroll processing and reporting; payroll deductions; workers’ compensation; unemployment insurance; employee and retiree benefits; health, dental, vision and life insurance; Short/Long Term Disability (STD/LTD); Flexible Spending Account (FSA); and tax shelters including 403(b), 457, and 401(a).
• Manages, maintains, and reviews the payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions which includes ensuring the system is correctly processing salaries, reported hours worked, paid leave, holiday pay, and overtime calculations.
• Maintain payroll schedules and ensures all payroll processes meet established deadlines.
