Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is looking for a Payroll Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise payroll. You will own in-house Workday payroll across multiple cycles and entities, and drive governance, tax filings, and system integrations to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency.

Lead a nine-person payroll team, partnering with HR, finance and executives. Ideal candidates bring extensive payroll leadership experience, deep Workday expertise, and a solid track record

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience in high-volume, multi-state environments.
• Deep knowledge of Workday payroll configuration and governance.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end in-house payroll operations in Workday across cycles and entities.
• Set payroll governance and systems strategy aligned with financial and compliance objectives.
• Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations and agency issue resolution across jurisdictions.
• Lead integrations among Workday with retirement platforms and financial systems; drive automation and process improvements.
