Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage complex payroll processing and lead a small team in Reading, PA. The role covers expatriate payroll, tax compliance, and integration initiatives within the corporate development framework.

You will optimize procedures, respond to stakeholder requests, and coordinate with finance to ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate has CPP and 8+ years of payroll experience, with a proven ability to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree required; CPP certification preferred.
• Eight or more years of payroll experience required.
• Advanced understanding of payroll administration, recordkeeping, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles as related to payroll processing.
• Experience with payroll software and time & attendance systems.
• Integrity and honesty in handling payroll data.
• High level of analytical and data-reporting skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines; work well independently or in teams.
• Strong business judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Works independently with guidance on complex tasks and performs a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation for multiple payrolls, and reconciling payroll accrued accounts.
• Manage expatriate program to include review and approval of balance sheets and maintain tax compliance.
• Act as functional lead on the payroll integration of Corporate Development.
• Manage the payroll development and implementation of HCM system upgrade and tax updates.
• Analyze payroll processing problems and recommends best practices to implement new solutions.
• Makes recommendations to the Payroll Manager for development or enhancement of payroll procedures and documentation.
• Responds to internal and external customer non-standard requests.
• Leads payroll staff members and may perform duties of Payroll Manager in his/her absence.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
