Job summary

Net at Work is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong payroll background to dedicate about 50% of time to payroll processing, reconciliations, and compliance related to financial reporting. The other half of time supports payment processing backup and contract accounting analysis.

The ideal candidate ensures payroll, benefits, taxes, garnishments, wages, and related liabilities are accurately recorded and reconciled, while collaborating across payroll, HR, finance, and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong payroll experience.
• Experience reconciling payrolls to the general ledger and bank activity.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile employee and employer payroll-related accounts.
• Create and maintain a year-to-date wage expense schedule tied to payroll register.
• Investigate and resolve variances between payroll reports, benefit invoices, tax filings, cash payments, and GL.
• Own month-end close activities for payroll, benefits, taxes, accrued wages, and payroll expenses.
• Support commissions coding and ASC606 capitalization knowledge.
• Prepare payroll-related schedules and documentation for audits and financial reporting.
• Crosstrain on payment processing: wires and ACH payments.
• Review and analyze contracts in Sage Intacct Contracts module (values, lines, billing, revenue schedules).
