Job summary

Net at Work seeks a Senior Accountant with a strong payroll background to manage payroll processing, reconciliations, and related compliance. Half of the time is dedicated to payroll, with the remainder supporting payment processing and contract accounting analysis.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of collaborating across payroll, HR, finance, and operations teams, ensuring accurate recording of liabilities and timely close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong payroll accounting background.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions and payroll liabilities.
• Experience reconciling payroll to GL and bank activity.
• Proficient with month-end close related to payroll and benefits.
• Familiarity with ASC606 commission capitalization is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile employee and employer payroll-related accounts.
• Create and maintain year-to-date wage expense schedules tied to payroll.
• Investigate variances between payroll reports, tax filings, and GL.
• Own month-end close activities related to payroll, benefits, taxes, and wages.
• Support commissions coding and related revenue schedules in contracts module.
