Southland Industries is seeking a payroll professional to manage weekly onboarding of union employees, verify records, and maintain ERP payroll data. The role emphasizes multi-jurisdictional leave compliance, cross-functional collaboration with foremen and project managers, and providing exceptional customer service to employees.

You will design accrual structures for Sick and Safe leave, monitor regulatory changes, and assist with audits while supporting both Division and Corporate payroll

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Admin, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of payroll/benefits experience with strong Excel skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines.
• Proven communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Detail-oriented and analytical with problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee onboarding of union employees and maintain payroll records for the division.
• Administer new hires, status changes, terminations, and payroll form updates.
• Monitor PTO balances and generate regular management reports.
• Identify payroll improvements and coordinate weekly payroll audits.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal sick and safe leave programs.
• Design Sick and Safe Leave accrual structures and update usage rules.
• Support audits and coordinate payroll adjustments with high confidentiality.
• Communicate payroll information timely to Division and Corporate Payroll.
