Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a skilled payroll professional to manage weekly onboarding for union employees and maintain ERP payroll data. You will collaborate with Foremen, Superintendents, and Construction Managers while ensuring compliance with multi-jurisdictional leave programs.

You will also support audits, payroll adjustments, and reporting, while improving processes and maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll reporting systems.
• Strong problem solving and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate payroll records for union employees and update documents timely.
• Process new hires, status changes, and terminations in payroll systems.
• Monitor and report PTO, sick and leave balances, and provide regular updates.
• Identify payroll needs and resolve issues from weekly audits.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal sick and safe leave programs.
• Design and manage sick and safe leave accrual structures.
